Get A New Apartment With A Realtor For Rentals
Did you know that you can work with a Realtor® for rentals to help you get a new apartment in Windsor-Essex?
Working with a Realtor® to find a new residence is a great way to see the best of what Windsor-Essex has to offer in your price range. Even if you are satisfied with your current accommodations, why not consider your options? If some extra space and a jacuzzi tub are in your price range, of course you should know about it!
As your Realtor®, I can weed through all the rentals that don’t meet your needs, and bring you to view the best of the best, with no pressure to buy. My presence also ensures that you are getting treated fairly by prospective landlords, and that the process is all above the board.
What Does It Cost To Work With Mark To Get A New Apartment?
Typically working with an agent to get a new apartment it is free to you as the client. I normally get paid as the Realtor® by the property manager at the building you move into.
People who work with Realtors® to find a new apartment are vetted to be good tenants, and property managers appreciate that. They make extra time and effort for people who use a good agent, when compared to those who are searching alone.
Windsor is a very competitive market for rental housing right now. It would be very easy to look for an apartment alone and come up empty, or very disappointed. Real estate agents like me have the connections needed to find the best deals in the city. We keep our eyes on real estate every day. It is our job to always know what is available in our marketplace.
We also know the rules and regulations about tenancy, if you need any help.
Tenants Rights In Ontario Rental Properties
Tenants have a lot of rights in Ontario, and property owners have many restrictions as a result. Both property owners and tenants must abide by the terms outlined in the Ontario Standard Form Lease.
In general, tenants are expected to:
-pay their rent on time
-treat other people living or working in the building with respect
-treat the building with respect, and report property maintenance needs
-allow management to inspect or conduct work on the apartment with reasonable notice
In return, tenants have the right to:
-come and go as they wish
-privacy and security
-have a pet (except in some condos)
-due legal process for issues that may come up during tenancy
A landlord can never demand a tenant leave immediately, without proper notice and legal processes. An eviction takes time, and allows you to explain your side of the story.
